For unqualified entry, no formal qualifications are required. However, you must be able to swim.
For qualified entry you must meet the following criteria:
You should have at least a year’s suitable experience in bar work & silver service in a hotel, restaurant, club or industrial catering establishment.You will also need one of the following:
- NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service (with silver service module);
In addition to: Technical Certificate Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food and Beverages Service)
- NVQ Level 3 in Food and Drink Service (with silver service module);
In addition to: Technical Certificate Level 3 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food and Beverages Service), or
- BTEC Hotel and Catering Management; or any other appropriate recognised civilian qualification.
All candidates for this role must be able to swim.
Applicants for the role of Air & Ground Steward must be within the height range of 5ft 2" to 6ft 6".
